Description
DIRECTOR, SERIES MARKETING
NASCAR is looking for a dynamic marketing professional who will manage and oversee NASCAR’s three national series sponsorships – Sprint, Nationwide and Camping World.
The ideal candidate must be a diplomat and a “problem solver”– communicating effectively to gain consensus and drive results
- Must have strong history in marketing as well as account / relationship management
- Must possess the ability to positively engage and contribute to sponsors’ strategy and marketing execution process
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Facilitate business to business and cross-promotional opportunities between series sponsors, official partners and licensees
* Leads the strategic planning and communications process between league and series sponsors
* Serves as the primary liaison between series sponsors and NASCAR Competition
* Maximizes cross-marketing opportunities and support for NASCAR's national marketing programs
* Provides leadership, direction and coaching to Account Managers and support staff
* Manages department budget
A Master’s Degree or equivalent is preferred with at least ten years related experience in marketing and account management; must be well organized, detail oriented and have the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; the ideal candidate is a results driven, strategic thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be willing to travel including up to 16 weekends per year. Motorsports experience is a plus.
