Role:
The Director, Banking Strategy will identify, build and manage banking and cash management products for the TD AMERITRADE platform as a part of the overall business strategy to grow the banking and cash management offering and drive new revenue. The Director, Banking Strategy will help build the vision for the TD AMERITRADE banking platform by leading product development and building partnerships to bring the banking platform to market.
The Director, Banking Strategy will sponsor client and competitive research, create business cases, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver elements of the banking platform. The Director, Banking Strategy will also help the product team create communications that assist with overall strategy execution.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of energy, interact well with associates at all levels of the organization, and possess strong analytical and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
# Assist the Managing Director, as well as Cash Management and Banking areas with creation of the long term product strategy and roadmap.
# Lead initiatives and projects to enhance the product platform and drive sales and revenue growth.
# Create presentations and other communications to help communicate the vision and update progress to senior management and key stakeholders.
# Act as subject matter expert on cash management products across the organization.
# Partner with database segmentation, product managers, statistical modeling, and other subject matter experts to conduct exploratory and validating analysis to support fact-based decision making concerning client strategies.
# Create proposals for significant recommendations, including upgrades to the product, changes to policies and procedures, fundamental changes in messaging and marketing, targeting of new channels for the product, etc.
# Develop business cases that clearly demonstrate the strategic and economic value of product initiatives.
# Work with sales professionals, meet with clients, prospects, and other internal and external users of the tools to understand and assess the marketplace needs.
# Work with the technology and operations to develop and monitor product systems and process performance.
# Design and conduct research that is innovative and timely, and has actionable outcomes.

# Bachelor's degree required; MBA desirable
# 10+ years of relevant work experience, preferably with experience in banking and brokerage cash management
# High level of energy and enthusiasm
# Demonstrated execution focus
# Excellent organization and project management skills
# Strong written and verbal communication skills
# High level of analytical skills
# Ability to interact well with Senior Management
