We are looking for an outstanding candidate to lead the team that designs, implements and supports Liquidnet’s global core infrastructure including storage, network and server infrastructure. This person is responsible for leading the team that provides global infrastructure solutions to our global business and corporate operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead infrastructure teams responsible for network design, server implementation and data center infrastructure.
Responsible for capacity planning and hardware infrastructure design for the enterprise both in the global corporate offices as wells Liquidnet’s data centers.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining global infrastructure standards and designs that meet Liquidnet’s SLAs to the business.
Work closely with the business to deliver global enterprise infrastructure solutions
Responsible for establishing the vision and setting the direction and strategy for Liquidnet’s core infrastructure.
Qualifications
Proven history of designing, implementing, and deploying large scale global technology infrastructure solutions.
Should be able to develop and communicate detailed Infrastructure proposals and strategy to the business units.
Should possess strong relationship management/business partner interaction skills.
Experience with delivering technology solutions in a complex and high availability, 24X7 Equity Trading environment.
Must have strong leadership, communications, management and mentoring skills.
Experience building SAN/NAS infrastructures for high transaction, high availability business units.
Responsibility for the management of a robust Unix/Windows production environment (including Linux).
Must have strong LAN/WAN/MAN experience- CCIE certification strongly preferred.
Experience managing global IT and monitoring systems.Vendor evaluation and selection experience is required.
Skills
Demonstrate strong leadership skills with a collaborative style in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in analyzing and optimizing service delivery infrastructure in high growth, maturing organizations.
Strong best practices or ITIL process experience is a must
Professional Financial Services Industry experience within a world class technology organization is required.
Desired
Knowledge of Investment Banking/Equity Trading services and the associated mission criticality of the infrastructure.
Evidential experience of dealing in high available environments preferably as the manager in charge
Network certification other than Cisco.
Experience with a variety of formal methodologies.
