Job Description
Art/Creative Director, Brand Management Boston, MA Join the International Marketing Team within the Brand Management group! The Art/ Creative Director will report directly to the International Brand and Marketing Director. Job Description: The Art/Creative Director will be expected to manage and maintain the evolution of the internal creative team. He or she will direct and manage the production of the brand’s creative materials combining influences of sport, fashion and lifestyle. The Art/Creative Director will bring new campaigns to market in a variety of executions while working closely with the internal marketing channels such as media, in-store and interactive. A vast knowledge of current and upcoming industry trends is a must. * Liaise with senior management to understand and secure creative and graphic consistency for campaigns and other communications initiatives as well as drive future concepts for brand creative. * Drive the creative and aesthetic direction of selected campaigns and communications initiatives. * Lead and participate in creative brainstorming sessions with fellow designers and senior management. * Help build and maintain key external partners for design and production resources. * Participate in photo-shoots and other productions both on one’s own and in conjunction with other team members or external agencies. We Expect: * Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and/or relevant field of study, or 7+ years experience in similar field * 7+ years relevant experience in print/brand design * Exceptional ability to see projects through all phases of implementation including: concept ideation, design development and resource allocation/management * Ability to brainstorm design and strategize marketing executions, which will be carried out across all disciplines * Presentation skills and proven ability to effectively liaise with senior management * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to function autonomously as well as in a cooperative, diverse group * Proven leadership skills, including ability to motivate, inspire and mentor others * Strong information seeking skills and a penchant for resourcefulness. * Tremendous attention to detail, and extraordinary time-management skills * Thorough understanding of print process, color theory and typography * Fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Quark all on the Macintosh platform * Experience in the fashion, athletic/apparel industry a plus
