Position Summary:
Omni Hotels is currently seeking a Senior Vice President of Construction based in Las Colinas, Texas. This position has responsibility in the following areas:
Responsible for managing the construction process for all capital projects, refurbishments and renovations; directs the company's efforts in providing technical assistance, project administration and full project management services.
Implementing the defined project through budget accountability, adherence to schedules, obtaining approvals, supervision of design, engineering, architecture, construction and purchasing/installation.
Timely and accurate project status/budget reports for management.
Lead responsibility in the selection and recommendation of consultants and contractors as necessary.
Study the overall facilities feasibility of potential conversion projects.
Develop, maintain an enforcement/application of comprehensive hotel development standards.
Responsible for supervising multiple functions, with full responsibility for effective operation and results.
Ability to use independent judgment in order to recommend departmental or divisional objectives, evaluate new approaches to problem solving, and assess changing facts or conditions.
Possess a high degree of analytical ability and inductive thinking in order to analyze and resolve complex and highly intricate technical problems. This includes significant individual effort and/or consultation with others within the department.
Ability to create new, imaginative, nonstandard and complex methods, policies, procedures, products and systems.
Provide leadership to the Company's Capital and Project Management teams.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will possess:
At minimum 15 years of progressive construction/development experience in a hotel or related field required.
Extensive knowledge of all phases of the construction process.
Professional degree. Architecture preferred but not required.
High level of professionalism.
Strong preference given to those candidates with Hospitality specific experience.
